Hello. This is another screen captured video of me playing my own program. I did this program just for fun and out of boredom. Anyway, if you think you want to create your own chess program using VBA, it’s better to use USER FORMS and not do it on the spreadsheet to look better. I hope you don’t mind the colors i chose in my forms. All buttons, except for the “EATEN” pieces, are command buttons and are arranged carefully before the program loads. The eaten pieces are arranged as the program runs depending on the number of pieces killed. Anyway, I hope you guys get interested in programming using VBA because it is pretty useful. There’s so much about excel programming excel. Making a simple game is just a bonus. VBA is really useful in reducing workload. Ex. Opening hundreds of DXF files and saving them to DWG format. Transferring files from one folder to another. Renaming files. Checking mails. Sending Mails and many more. If you’re good with VBA, you can even program AUTOCAD 2004, Power Point, Outlook and even Word. If I knew vba programming back in college, I could have automated my presentations to stun my classmates and impress my teachers. VBA is also very useful at work. Since most office PC’s have MS Office, there’s no need for you to download files just to make a program! Pretty cool huh! Now I’m currently working on a “TYPING TUTORIAL” program. It is not really a tutorial but a game. The user types in the words that drop down from the top of the screen. If the User isn’t quick enough to type in the falling words/letters, they will accumulate below the screen and reduces the height for the words to fall. Much more like of a TETRIS game but this one develops the typing skills of the user. As the level goes high, the words get more complicated and fall faster. LOL. I hope this program helps my girlfriend’s “words per minute”.
